The entry deadline for the Startups Awards 2016 has been extended to 12pm on Friday 23 September, meaning the country’s most exciting start-ups now have an extra week to enter.

This is the 13th year for the annual awards, which recognises early stage UK businesses with huge potential and celebrates their success so far.

Some illustrious names have been crowned as Startups Awards winners in its history including Ella’s Kitchen, Glasses Direct and Notonthehighstreet.com.

This year there are 15 categories to enter including App of the Year, Retail Business of the Year, the Women in Business Award and the overall Sage Startups Business of the Year award.

A long list of 50 businesses chosen by the judges will also be able to compete for the Startups Awards’ People’s Champion title, as voted for by Startups.co.uk readers and your peers.

To be eligible, your business must be independently owned, UK-based and have started trading no earlier than 1 August 2012.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony held at The Royal Garden Hotel on the evening of Thursday 17 November 2016.

Entries for the Startups Awards 2016 will now officially close at midnight on Friday 23 September. Find out more and enter here.
