Startups Awards 2015 Service Business of the Year ForestBrown, a tax credit consultancy, has called 2015 a record year after recording revenue growth of 166%.

Founded in 2013, the Bristol-based firm provides specialist research and development services to help businesses across a variety of sectors access the maximum relief available from the government’s R&D tax credit scheme.

ForrestBrown recovered more than £25.5m in R&D tax credits for its clients in 2015 – a significant increase on the £9.5m recovered in 2014 – with a third of this on behalf of London-based businesses.

This growth has allowed the company to open a new office at WeWork Moorgate and make 10 new appointments, increasing its number of employees to 21.

Simon Brown, managing director of ForrestBrown, commented: “We have again surpassed all of our targets for growth, and with the new additions to the team, and our new office, we are all looking forward to what lies ahead in 2016.
