Cloud-based content collaboration platform Huddle has been selected by accountancy firm Grant Thornton to provide the communication platform for the government-backed GrowthAccelerator programme it runs.Part-funded by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills, the £200m programme is designed to match businesses with experts to accelerate their growth and help them to reach their potential.With the GrowthAccelerator’s network of delivery partners comprising over 800 experts, Huddle has been chosen to provide a cloud-based platform to facilitate communication between the partners, ensuring the security of their data by using software which enables users to set individual security controls.Multiple businesses and advisers will be able to share and edit documents from geographically dispersed locations, ensuring users are accessing the correct versions at all times, while avoiding inbox overload.Alastair Mitchell, CEO and co-founder of Huddle, which has become the content collaboration platform of choice for Fortune 500 companies and more than 100,000 businesses since starting in 2006, commented: “Grant Thornton is a great example of how businesses are making the leap to the cloud to share knowledge and work effectively on content with their entire business ecosystem.“Using the platform, Grant Thornton’s teams can now ‘huddle’ together and provide partners across the country with access to the information they need.”Huddle was named a Young Gun by Growing Business in 2009 and has since gone on to raise in excess of $40m in venture funding, with offices in the UK and US.
