Holly Tucker MBE, co-founder of independent retail marketplace notonthehighstreet.com, has won the award for retail at the prestigious Ernst & Young London and South Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

With the winners unveiled last night at London’s Milbank Tower, female entrepreneur Tucker beat category finalists from Made.com, ACHICA and Orlebar Brown.

Tucker, who was listed Growing Business Young Gun in 2008 and Keystone Law Golden Gun in 2013, launched notonthehighstreet.com with Sophie Cornish in 2005 and over the last nine years has grown the business to revenues of over £43.5m in 2012 with a team of over 140 people.  

Other prizes were awarded to leading names including Rowan Gormley of Startups 100-listed Naked Wines for hospitality and leisure, and Patrick Gallagher of CitySprint for business services, with the overall prize granted to Joe Hemani of computer wholesale distributor Westcoast.

Speaking of the achievement on her Twitter feed, Tucker said: “Pinching myself that I won & excited about finals!”
