London-based creative design and manufacturing company Spinning Hat specialises in creating original fun gifts for 16 to 35-year-olds. It’s an offer that has attracted an impressive array of high-profile clients to date, including John Lewis, Urban Outfitters, The Conran Shop and Barnes & Noble. Damon Bonser set up the business in 2005, with the launch of the world’s first counting bottle opener – The Bottle Spy. Next year, he’s projecting a turnover of more than £5m. Plans to expand the company internationally are also well underway, with a Hong Kong office scheduled to open its doors later in 2010. Meanwhile, a partnership with a distributor in the US is on the cards for next year to help Spinning Hat spread its wings State-side.
