As healthy food and drinks brands go, Lacka Foods is right on-trend and boasts a clear objective: to “make healthy easy”. Looking to capitalise on the surge in demand for high-protein products, the company produces a range of brands offering high-protein, low fat, no added sugar drinks targeted at the convenience market.

Founded in 2012, Lacka Foods’ range includes BeFast, a healthy ‘liquid breakfast’ on-the-go drink, Collagen+ Beauty Milk, a drink designed to support beauty regimes, which contains a mix of collagen, vitamins and antioxidants to sustain tendons, skin and cartilage and their flagship brand UFIT which was launched late in 2014 and offers a range of protein-based drinks enhanced with various vitamins, minerals and fibre.

Since launch, the company has secured partnerships with 20 large retail outlets in the UK including Tesco, Holland & Barrett, WHSmith, Boots, Superdrug, Ocado, Moto services, Nisa and Palmer & Harvey to name a few.

Lacka has plans to significantly grow its turnover next year, from £4m. With 25 years of consumer packaged goods experience in its team of eight including marketing director Terry Adams, this protein-fuelled company knows where it’s going and how to get there.
