About the business

Hire Intelligence operates in the short term IT/computer rental market and is the second largest operator in UK. In recent years it business has expanded to include the rental of audio visual equipment and videoconferencing equipment and facilities. Paul Gilmore launched the Central Manchester franchise in September 2005 and has worked hard to build a successful business.

Focussing on the needs of his customers has been the key to Hire Intelligence’s success. Early on Paul recognised that in order to gain clients from his competitors he would need to provide exceptional service levels. By recruiting a strong team, Hire Intelligence has quickly established itself locally as a company that delivers and exceeds client expectations. The industry Paul works in does not allow for a 9-5 approach, the hours are often long and unsociable. Keeping a team motivated is therefore key and Paul offers profit share, time off in lieu and extensive training courses to his employees. Since launching, the Central Manchester branch has been Hire Intelligence UK’s fastest growing franchise. Growth in the first year has exceeded expectations with the business bringing in revenue levels that would be expected from a two year old franchise.
