Start Up Loans Company announced as headline sponsor of Startups Awards 2018

With entries for the Startups Awards 2018 opening on June 11, Startups.co.uk is pleased to announce The Start Up Loans Company as headline sponsor.

It is the second consecutive year that the organisation has lent its support to the Startups Awards – the UK’s longest running awards of its kind celebrating the country’s inspiring and game-changing new businesses.

Delivering the government’s Start Up Loans programme; the organisation provides finance and support to businesses who struggle to access other forms of finance.

It enables small businesses to borrow between £500 and £25,000 via a low-interest loan and provides successful loan applicants with free mentoring from experienced advisors.

Running for its 15th year, the Startups Awards recognises the UK’s most outstanding, innovative, and ambitious new businesses launched in the last four years and has garnered a reputation for identifying start-ups that will go on to achieve great success.

Past Startups Awards winners include Tropic Skincare, Joe & Seph’s Popcorn, Swoon Editions, MarketInvoice, Purplebricks, Onfido and last year’s overall winner Bulb.

To be eligible for the Startups Awards 2018, businesses must have excellent potential, be based in the UK, privately-owned, and launched on or after August 1 2014 – and no later than July 31 2017.

Ahead of the official award categories being unveiled on June 11, we can confirm that The Start Up Loans Inspiring Entrepreneur of the Year award will be returning for 2018.

This award, won by Infinity Trampoline Park in 2017, is open to inspirational entrepreneurs who have received a Start Up Loan and want to share their story.

As lead sponsor of this year’s Startups Awards, The Start Up Loans Company will also be presenting the overall winner with the accolade of The Start Up Loans Start-Up of the Year.

Entries for the Startups Awards 2018 open on Monday 11 June, with winners unveiled at an illustrious awards ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel, London on Thursday 21 November 2018.
