MarketInvoice_LogoEurope’s first platform of its kind, MarketInvoice allows small and medium-sized businesses to selectively sell their unpaid invoices to a pool of global investors. Investors are then able to bid to provide funding at the lowest cost, with winning buyers advancing cash to businesses within 24 hours. Hundreds of small business clients trade on the site with qualified buyers that range from family offices to hedge funds and high net worth individuals.

In just two years the young trio, aged 29, 31 and 32, have rapidly grown the company and in the last 12 months alone over £50m has been facilitated through their site.

In March 2013, the invoice finance service attracted the attention of government and was included in its Business Finance Partnership, which throughout the year saw small businesses benefit from £40m of government funds using MarketInvoice’s offering.

Judges comments:

Started when they were all under 30, this trio have created a technology platform that has brought something completely different to the small business marketplace and their platform has processed well in excess of £70m already.
