Startups.co.uk can now unveil the names of the 52 inspiring new businesses selected as finalists for the Startups Awards 2016…

Running for its 13th year, the Startups Awards celebrates the UK’s most exceptional and innovative early-stage start-ups launched in the last four years and recognises their achievements and future potential.

Hundreds of hopeful start-ups entered the awards this year and the finalists will now have their entries judged by a panel of esteemed judges, which includes Cath Kidston MBE, Enterprise Jungle founder Emma Sinclair MBE, Innocent Drinks co-founder Jon Wright, and Moonpig founder and Dragons’ Den star Nick Jenkins – to name just a few.

This year companies are competing across 15 different categories. This year, multi-national enterprise software company Sage is headline sponsor, while government-backed loan organisation Start Up Loans and Simply Business; the UK’s largest online small insurance broker, are the awards silver sponsors.

The Startups Awards 2016 also has an impressive portfolio of bronze sponsors including online print destination printed.com, chartered accountants and tax advisers haysmacintyre, domain name and web hosting services 123Reg, company formations group MadeSimple, media agency All Response Media, and real estate advisors DeVono Cresa.

One outstanding start-up will be awarded the overall prize of Sage Startups Business of the Year, selected from the winners of the other categories.

All 52 finalists are also eligible for the esteemed People’s Champion Award title. You can vote for your favourite start-up for People’s Champion here.

The Startups Awards 2016 winners will be unveiled at a prestigious awards ceremony held at The Royal Garden Hotel, hosted by Oli Barrett MBE, on the evening of Thursday 17 November.
