$8.2m for video GP service PushDoctor

Series A round in UK-based doctor consultation platform backed by Oxford Capital, Draper Esprit and Partech Ventures

PushDoctor.co.uk, a UK start-up which enables users to have online video consultations with their GP, has today announced a $8.2m Series A raise backed by Oxford Capital, Draper Esprit, and Partech Ventures.

Founded in 2013, PushDoctor aims to connect users with their GP within three minutes and claims to be Europe’s largest online GP marketplace; boasting a network of over 7,000 GMC-registered GPs in the UK alone.

The investment in the health technology (healthtech) business, which builds on an earlier £1.2m seed round, will go towards expanding its marketing efforts and improving its integration with other healthcare service providers.

Eren Ozagir, co-founder and CEO of PushDoctor, commented:

“We are all about usage, we want patients to get the advice they want from real doctors, in person and at a time that is convenient for them.

“We believe that having the ability to see a doctor on-demand speeds up the patient journey to recovery and that every patient should have the choice to reach for professional advice when they need to.”
