Written and reviewed by: Julia Watts Shared office space provider LABS has announced plans to launch its flagship London site, LABS House, in summer 2018.Covering 80,000 square feet on Bloomsbury Way, Holborn, LABS House will welcome start-ups and established businesses of all sizes. According to the company, the space will be “engineered for productivity” to “impress both employees and investors”.With a focus on the latest technology and IT security, LABS House expects to offer members access to discounted web developers and the LABS ecosystem of co-working sites. It will also provide each business with its own secure wi-fi network to keep data and sensitive company information protected.Members – who can choose to hot-desk in the lounge, hire co-working space, or pay for dedicated desks or private offices – will be able to use a dedicated app to book meeting rooms, find talent, swap skills and network with other members of the LABS community.Meanwhile, the building itself is expected to feature a private events space in which members can host and attend events, a gym, a roof terrace and an observatory as well as bars and restaurants.LABS, which starts lounge space at £50 (plus VAT) per month, currently has three sites open across Holborn and Camden, centred around Sicilian Avenue and Camden Market. The business plans to open a further four facilities, which include LABS House, in London during 2018.
