Coffee franchise Second Cup opens third UK branch

Fairtrade café franchise The Second Cup Coffee Company has announced that it will open a branch in Birmingham city this December – after two successful UK franchise launches in Manchester and London.

Launched in 1975, Second Cup Coffee originally started in Canada but has grown dramatically with stores located across 30 regions in the world.

It attributes its success to “innovative and exclusive blends” and Rain Forest Alliance coffees. Its new branch will be “strategically located” on a pedestrian promenade near busy Victoria Square and New Street Railway Station in Birmingham City. Its other two cafes are inside Manchester’s Arndale Centre and at London’s famous Portobello Road Market.

The chain is currently offering regional franchise opportunities in order to expand within the UK.
