Entries now open for Startups 100 2017

Entries for the Startups 100 2017 – the annual index celebrating the UK’s most promising and disruptive new businesses – are now open.

Started in 2008, the esteemed Startups 100 index counts down the 100 most exciting start-ups launched in the last three years with the greatest potential for growth and success.

In previous years the index has identified exceptional start-ups that have gone to become big-name brands such as Notonthehighstreet.com, Deliveroo, Naked Wines, Huddle, and Purplebricks, to name but a few.

Sponsored by AXA Business Insurance, the Startups 100 2017 index will look to build on past success and will celebrate and recognise early-stage businesses set for entrepreneurial stardom.

Start-up businesses featured in the 2016 index have already achieved huge milestones. Peer-to-peer property lender LendInvest took the top spot in the Startups 100 2016 and has posted a 133% increase in gross revenues for the year ending March 2016.

Employee benefits business Perkbox, family-run sausage company HECK, on-demand rubbish collection service Clearabee, and car comparison site carwow, also appeared among the Startups 100 2016’s top 10 and have achieved significant growth over the past 12 months.

Shortlisted for editorial campaign of the year at the prestigious British Media Awards, the Startups 100 2016 index featured 186 talented UK entrepreneurs with businesses from a cross-sector of industries including food and drink, technology, retail, finance and much more, and the 2017 index will be an equally diverse list.

To be eligible for Startups 100 2017, your business must have started trading on or after 1 January 2014, be privately owned and UK-based.

For the first time ever, this year there will also be a networking event for the founders of the 100 companies listed in the 2017 index, which will take place at an exclusive London venue on June 22.
