19. Accenture

Europe’s 25 Corporate Startup Stars winner offers a well-structured way of creating cost-effective products

Start-ups are well integrated into professional services company Accenture’s business thanks to its five-phase open innovation funnelling process. In parallel, the organisation’s Fintech Innovation Lab accelerator provides 15 start-ups with 30 desks over three months, with mentorship from senior in-house executives and banking professionals.

A key impact of the Lab has been the way it has led Accenture’s Open Innovation Team to engage more with blockchain start-ups.

Accenture’s work with early-stage companies has enabled it to identify the kind of cost-effective and easy-to-implement solutions customers are looking for from new suppliers. Its Consumer Innovation Awards – for start-ups operating in the retail and consumer spaces – has also helped it to bring in new talent.
