Written and reviewed by: Megan Dunsby Dattch, the dating app for lesbian, queer and bisexual woman, has announced it has bagged $1m in seed funding and rebranded to HER.Bebo founder Michael Birch, Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, and Huddle co-founder and Young Gun Andy McLoughlin all contributed in the round.Founded by Robyn Exton, HER (Dattch)aims to provide a free “hub” for the lesbian community allowing users to browse other users through its ‘Meet’ function, ‘Chat’ where you can message users that have liked you, and ‘Feed’ which is a blog on all things LGBT. The app is variable on iOS for those aged 18 and over across the UK.The rebrand to HER, which is thought to have come on the back of previous confusion at the name, is set to enable the company to achieve its growth plans with the investment funding expansion into the US market and other global locations.
