Lucy and Sophie invested a mere £500 each to set up their accountancy firm back in 2006. It’s now turning over £200k with offices in Cardiff and London. The firm caters mainly for small companies and start-ups, offering accounts outsourcing on a monthly instead of yearly basis. Lucy says being her own boss was a big drive in setting up the company but the financial benefits also can’t be sniffed at. “People who say they don’t go into business to make lots of money are just lying,” she insists.
