Launched at the 2007 London Marathon, Physicool is a stretchy reusable bandage which combines cooling with compression and works by drawing heat out by rapid evaporation. Founder Kay started the company after the success of her other business, Equiplus, which started off as an equine feed company selling mainly to the Middle East, and moved on to sell a product called ‘Equi-N-icE’, which uses a technology similar to the one in Physicool bandages to reduce heat and swelling in horse’s legs.
