After a court battle with a competitor whose product was too similar to Beautiful Vending’s for them to pass off as mere flattery, the company’s directors, Neil and Richard, have emerged triumphant. The product in question is a hair straightener vending machine, a coin-operated system which allows a hair straightener to be placed in pubs, clubs, gyms and colleges.
The company has 950 units in the UK, a further 400 across the rest of the world, and an annual turnover of £600,000. “For some, hair straighteners are deemed a necessity rather than a luxury,” says Neil.
