The Diamond Logistics (Bournemouth) story:

After years of working as a master sub-contractor for large UK companies such as Interlink and City-Link and becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of opportunities offered to drivers, Hon Leung decided to invest in a Diamond Logistics franchise.

And the franchisee hit the ground running, utilising the demise of his former employer City-Link and establishing a depot just one month after finishing his training. He soon began winning clients.

Supported by a national infrastructure, Diamond’s multi-carrier solution is a unique service offering to the courier and logistics market – and includes same-day, overnight and international as well as remote storage pick, pack and despatch.

Leung says that this national reach combined with the franchise’s marketing support (he secured 18 clients through his LinkedIn training) has enabled Diamond Logistics Bournemouth to grow rapidly.

The Bournemouth-based logistics franchise managed to hit a six-figure turnover within its first five months and Leung, who is purchasing another Diamond Logistics branch in Dorset, has ambitions to grow the Bournemouth depot’s turnover to in excess of £1m in 2016.

Why Diamond Logistics (Bournemouth) made our 60:

Hon Leung boasts close to a decade’s experience in the courier industry and with Diamond Logistics Bournemouth he has rapidly built a successful franchise, demonstrating a strong desire to work and achieve for himself after years of doing it for others. While the franchise itself is only three years old, it already has 25 franchisees and Leung’s readiness to take on another territory shows why he’s in the running for the award.
