Getting funding
Interested in receiving £150,000 equity investment in your business?
The Start-Up Series is a unique competition created to discover and invest £1.8m into some of the brightest businesses the nation has to offer.
This is not a ‘prize fund valued at X’ scheme where you essentially win a company’s services for free. The Start-Up Series is a serious investment competition that invests real money into real businesses.
Launched by Startups.co.uk in partnership with experienced investors Worth Capital, the series of monthly competitions throws the doors wide open for companies to submit their applications during a two-week window every month.

Getting recognition
Time and again entrants tell us that the process of entering awards is a useful exercise in taking a step back to assess your business – but perhaps as importantly, there's a great opportunity for some free PR! We know there are now many award schemes – so we asked some of our winners why it was worth entering Startups Awards (from helping with pitching to helping with exiting).
2017 marks the fourteenth year the Startups Awards has celebrated the outstanding achievements of new businesses that have been operating less than four years and employ fewer than 60 employees.
Leading entrepreneurs, investors and business advisers scrutinise entries across 15 categories, with a rotating roster of judges that has included Cath Kidston, Touker Suleyman, Nick Jenkins, Duncan Bannatyne, Dame Mary Perkins and many more.
Finalists are invited to an awards ceremony in November at a central London venue to network with over 200 entrepreneurs, judges and journalists.
Past winners have gone on to enjoy phenomenal success, including Glasses Direct, Naked Wines, Secret Escapes, The Cambridge Satchel Company and, most recently, YPlan and Raspberry Pi.
