The founders of SportPursuit have been on our radar almost since the business was founded – first covered in our Just Started in 2011, the business was a Young Start-Up of the Year finalist in 2012 and most recently placed at number 11 on this year’s Startups 100 index. Their place on 2014’s Young Guns list comes as no surprise, then, but is no less well deserved for it, having grown the UK’s first-ever sports flash sales site from scratch into a business with multi-million pound revenues and more than a million loyal members.

Working with more than 600 brands worldwide to create “why not” prices, the site can offer truly unbeatable deals to its audience of primarily affluent men between 30 and 50, with sports equipment regularly offered at up to 70% off RRP. With more than £6m of funding secured and revenues growing by the day, SportPursuit is well on its way to becoming a major player in the lucrative sports and leisure market.
