Written and reviewed by: Henry Williams Content Manager Job Today, the mobile marketplace for hospitality and retail jobs, has closed $20m in funding led by Flint Capital, Channel 4, German Media Pool VC and Atresmedia.Existing investors Accel Partners, Mangrove Capital, and Felix Capital also participated.Launched in 2015, Job Today connects employers and jobseekers in the hospitality, retail and service sectors, helping to fill positions on the same day.The company now processes almost one million job applications every week across the UK and Spain and has attracted more than two million candidates and 150,000 businesses including McDonald’s, Starbucks and Pizza Hut.The funding will be used to fuel Job Today’s expansion across the US and major European countries, with an estimated 60 million vacancies per year in its key markets.Eugene Mizin, Job Today’s CEO, commented: “We understand what it takes to get a job, because we have been there ourselves.
