Mobile coffee-shop franchise Coffee-Bike has marked the next stage in its international expansion with the addition of its first UK franchisee, Tomasz Podpora.

Now operating his mobile cafe in the Trowbridge area and markets and festivals in the nearby locale, Podpora said he has been keen on becoming self-employed “for some time” and was drawn to the Coffee-Bike franchise following its success in other countries.

Originally established in Germany, Coffee-Bike offers a mobile coffee-shop business model and has more than 120 franchisees operating across 13 countries.

The chain has franchise opportunities available for £10,550 (through its rental model) or £21,500 ( through its purchasing model).

On his decision to become a franchisee, Podpora commented:“I was impressed by how rapidly the Coffee-Bike franchise system has been growing in Germany and other international markets during the last five years. I am proud to be part of the system at such an early stage in the UK market. This advantage helped me to secure the hot spots in my home area.”

Coffee-Bike CEO, Tobias Zimmer, said:

“We are eager to capture the UK market. […] We are looking forward to several new UK starters in the next couple of months. Moreover, we are delighted about Podpora starting now in Trowbridge as the first of many UK franchisees”.
