Are you an entrepreneur or inventor?

Would you like the opportunity to pitch your product to a panel of retail buyers and promote your brand on television?

Well, your chance could be now.

From the makers of Gogglebox, a new business show to be shown “on a major UK broadcaster”, will see entrepreneurs to pitch their products to panel of retail buyers.

Currently having a working title of Buy It Now, each seller will have 90 seconds to convince a studio audience to buy their product.

If they are successful in selling to at least one member of the audience, they will then have the opportunity to speak to the panel of retailers – who may choose to make a big order.

Giving sellers a “potentially life-changing opportunity”, a pilot episode filmed in January saw one entrepreneur receive provisional orders worth nearly £150,000 (retail value), whilst another inventor had a provisional order for 10,000 units.

Elsewhere, the BBC is looking for food and drink start-ups to pitch their business ideas on a new investor-based food business show.

Aimed at food and drink-based businesses who believe “money is the only missing ingredient”, contestants will pitch their idea to impress “some of the best names in the food and drink business”.

Last week, Project11 launched its #PitchYourStartUp competition – which will see one start-up win a £60,000 Premier League advertising package.

The most-watched football league in the world, the Premier League is broadcast in 229 territories – reaching a global audience of 3.34 billion people.
