London-based e-commerce mattress supplier Eve mattress has closed a £330,000 sound round provided by FJ labs.

The company was founded by Jas Bagniewski, JoeMoore, James Fryer and Kuba Wieczorek, all experts in their respective fields of e-commerce, logistics, mattresses and advertising. With a passion for their product they set out to disrupt an archaic industry and sell premium quality mattresses direct to consumers at a fraction of the high street prices.

CEO Bagniewski said: “At eve we set out to create the world’s most comfortable mattress, designed, engineered and made in the UK, at a price that’s fair. We’re so confident of our product that we give a risk and hassle free 100 days to try the mattress at home.

And by selling online, we cut out unnecessary costs like retail stores and sales people meaning the mattress costs a third of what an equivalent would cost on the high street ”

Tom Bradley, partner at DN Capital, commented: “Eve brings together a highly skilled and experienced team with an innovative yet simple product in a £27 billion market that’s ripe for disruption. We are very excited to be the first institutional investors in eve and to be part of the journey”
