Papa John’s has announced expansion in Scotland with the addition of new franchisee Waleed Saleem who has taken over its Ayr outlet.

Saleem, a former supervisor at a rival pizza delivery firm, is the chain’s latest recruit to take up its 2015 franchise incentive scheme which offers discounted royalty fees, marketing spend and free equipment for new stores opened in the Midlands, Wales, North West, North East, and Scotland.

Said to be one of the largest pizza franchises in the world, Papa John’s is searching for budding entrepreneurs throughout the UK to join its chain.

It currently has over 280 stores nationwide with its franchises available for an average cost of between £177,000 to £225,000.

Speaking of his decision to join a competitor pizza franchise to his previous company, Saleem said:

“I chose Papa John’s because of there is so much opportunity to grow in the future; my ultimate goal is to open 10 pizza stores in Scotland and Papa John’s can deliver on that!

“Backed by national advertising plus my local marketing, there really is a fantastic opportunity to generate some great sales in Scotland and I’m excited about the future.”

On Papa John's' franchise incentive deal, Saleem added: “Deals on equipment, discounts on franchise fees plus help with marketing is just what you need at the beginning.”
