The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and NatWest today launched a free online platform, designed to link suppliers to the companies that require their services.

Named BizCrowd, the free to-use tool invites business owners to publish requests for services and products, which can then be matched to the correct supplier on the network.

Once the service or product request is completed, business owners are then offered the opportunity to rate the supplier and provide feedback for the use of other service-seeking business owners.

Chris Sullivan, CEO of corporate banking at RBS and NatWest hopes that both service-users and suppliers will benefit from the new tool.

He said: “It has always been the role of the bank manager to connect British businesses to one another, now we're extending that support online.

“We hope BizCrowd helps as many SMEs as possible raise their profile and win new business.”
