RefME announced UK winner of 2015 EdTech 20

Startups 100 referencing tool beat competition from 120 applicants across 24 European countries

Online referencing tool RefME, featured in the Startups 100 2015, has been named the UK winner of leading education technology (edtech) competition EdTech Europe, alongside French start-up Digischool and Norwegian business Kahoot!

Founded by Young Entrepreneur to Watch Tom Hatton, London-based RefME is a free online and mobile tool that automatically generates citations, reference lists and bibliographies using a barcode scanner app and browser clipper.

Digischool is a global web and mobile platform facilitating access to more than 15 educational services while Norwegian game platform Kahoot! enables learning through play.

The winners, announced alongside 17 finalists, have the opportunity to travel the world with EdTech Europe to promote themselves at partner events.
