Home care franchise brand SureCare has launched a franchise in Bromley, with franchisees Victor and Jennifer D’Arcy-Smith determined to bring “that personal touch to care that most people are deprived of”.

According to the husband-and-wife team, they are particularly motivated to provide excellent care in their borough as they have “both experienced what it is like to lose close family members”.

Therefore, the duo say they are “determined to create a care experience that honours and respects every individual we look after – just as we would want for our own family”.

The branch was opened with the help of a £51,000 funding package from a major high street bank, which has enabled extensive staff training. The business has also invested in an “intuitive” cloud-based software system which helps carers manage and record visits efficiently.

So far, the Beckenham-based business has recruited 10 staff from the local area, and is looking to hire more carers over the coming weeks. A true family business, the franchise is also being supported by the owners' 22-year-old son Mark D'Arcy-Smith.

Started in 1994, SureCare offers a range of home care services, from child care to care for the elderly and vulnerable. It also provides staffing solutions for care homes.

Driven by family values and relationships, SureCare's Chester headquarters are run by managing director Gary Farrer and his son along with the brand's franchise sales manager and his daughter.

Gary Farrer, managing director at SureCare, said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of our Bromley franchise.

“Like many of our franchises nationwide, Victor and Jennifer are operating SureCare Bromley as a family team. Having a close knit family unit at the helm is a great advantage as the degree of familiarity and trust amongst key decision makers helps a business to run smoothly, efficiently and ensures it is kept in good hands.

“At SureCare, we are committed to providing a wide range of exceptional care and support services for everyone from busy parents requiring babysitting to those in need of personal care and support in their home.”
