Supporting cancer patients more flexibly and remotely was already important before COVID. Post-pandemic, it’s essential.

Given increased remote care, including remote clinical communication, plus the vulnerability to infection during cancer, the need for self-management and tackling mental health and loneliness has sky-rocketed. Equally, so has the need for remote data collection to fuel vital research.

Harnessing the power of tech, Vinehealth is a digital platform that leverages data science and behavioural science to optimise cancer patient outcomes. A simple mobile app ensures easy tracking of symptoms, side effects and medications, automatically integrating with lifestyle data from smartphones and wearable devices. Plus, it delivers highly personalised behavioural interventions and bespoke evidence-based educational material.

Post-pandemic, the need for self-management and tackling mental health and loneliness in cancer patients has sky-rocketed

The aim? To support highly engaged patient self-management during and after treatment.

Vinehealth’s customers are hospitals providing oncology care and pharma companies developing cancer treatments. Its unique combination of personalised patient support and data collection produces the patient engagement and satisfaction that is crucial to life sciences organisations, healthcare providers and insurers.

Our judges were impressed by the startup’s high profile partnerships. These include leading NHS cancer centres such as the Royal Marsden, as well as MacMillan and Cancer Research UK. In fact, Vinehealth is the only cancer technology selected for rollout across the whole of the UK by NHS England over the next three years. The company is already working with five of the top 10 global pharma companies, too.

Vinehealth's unique combination of personalised patient support and data collection produces crucial patient engagement and satisfaction.

Vinehealth’s clinical benefit is matched by positive feedback from over 15,000 patients. This is crucial to the founders, who are emphatic to patient need throughout cancer treatment: “Our mission is to give back the best possible quality of life to all those living with this disease.”
