An app that has continued to innovate and grow since launching two years ago, offering a number of pioneering features amongst over 50 services, Laundrapp was the judges’ choice for winner of App of the Year at the Startups Awards 2016

Launched as an on-demand laundry and dry cleaning service back in 2014, Laundrapp now provides everything from door-to-door shoe repair and cleaning, to ironing, with real-time driver tracking and the world’s first fully voice activated laundry service (using the Alexa device).

The two-time Startups 100-featured app is now available in over 100 locations across the UK and has been downloaded over 250,000 times. Laundrapp is also available for businesses, offering its services, discounts and benefits to major names including Lloyds Banking Group, Marks & Spencer and Virgin, as well as Airbnb hosts.

After securing £5m in funding in August 2016, Laundrapp has taken total investment to £10m and is preparing to consolidate its presence nationwide before setting its sites on overseas expansion.

The category was hotly contested, with fellow Startups 100 businesses Quidini; a cloud-based queue management app, and Seenit; a video collaboration platform, respectively awarded the accolades of highly commended and commended by the judges.
