The Laundryheap story:

Over the last few years, the laundry sector has seen a similarly sudden explosion of disruptive start-ups as the mattress industry, all promising to update their respective sectors for the 21st  century.

So what is Laundryheap, the on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning service, doing differently?

Well, it’s the only service in the market that offers same-day collection and delivery within 24 hours as standard, and it claims to be the only one to be profitable for more than 18 months.

It’s also already available in five countries and has cleaned more than 4.5 million items of clothing to date.

As well as offering time-strapped consumers in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Coventry, Amsterdam, Dublin, Boston, Dubai and Sharjah a convenient way to do their laundry, the business is giving traditional brick-and-mortar stores the technical resources needed to open up new revenue streams.

With 75% of revenues coming from returning users and a 450% per annum growth in its user base, Laundryheap’s accessible and efficient service is proving a big hit with consumers the world over.

The start-up – which was a finalist for App of the Year at the Startups Awards 2017 – has never been shy of international ambition and that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon, with plans to enter 15 additional markets in the near future.

It will also introduce a service for linen and toiletries on a recurring contractual basis for consumers and restaurant contracts for table linen, aprons and uniforms soon.

Why Laundryheap made our shortlist:

This innovative on-demand laundry service has seen exceptional growth over the last few years, offering a service that has seen customers coming back for more, time and time again.

With ambitious plans in the pipeline and new territories on the cards, we can’t wait to see what Laundryheap does next.
