Entries for the annual Startups Awards 2015 have now closed following a phenomenal response from start-ups across the country.

Now in its 12th year, the prestigious awards celebrates the achievements of Britain's most exciting and fast-growth early-stage businesses launched in the last four years and is the longest running awards of its kind in the UK.

Having amassed hundreds upon hundreds of entries, a long list of 60 awards finalists will be announced on October 12 2015.

These finalist entries will then be judged by a panel of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs and business leaders including Cath Kidston MBE, Dragons' Den star Touker Suleyman, JUST EAT CEO David Buttress, MyVoucherCodes.co.uk founder Mark Pearson, and Innocent Drinks and JamJar Investments co-founder Jon Wright.

There were 13 categories to enter this year including new categories App of the Year, Lean Start-up of the Year and Export Business of the Year, alongside established awards titles such as Product Business of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

The top prize, Simply Business Startups Business of the Year, will be awarded to one exceptional start-up selected from the winners of the other categories.

Judging day takes place on October 28 2015 with the winners unveiled at an impressive awards ceremony held at The Vinopolis, London Bridge on the evening of Friday 27 November 2015.
