Business description: All natural nut butter brand

One can assume that marathon enthusiast Pip Murray, the Startups Awards 2016 Women in Business Award winner, brings the same determination and energy to her business Pip & Nut as she brings to her races.

Now available in more than 2,500 stores across the UK including Sainsbury’s, Holland & Barrett and Fortnum and Mason’s, Pip & Nut is now thought to be the fastest growing nut butter brand in the country, with growth of 500% since 2015.

The company’s six different flavours, including classic peanut butter and coconut almond butter, come in either 250g jars, 30g squeeze packs and 1kg tubs, and contain no refined sugars, palm oil, e-numbers, preservatives or additives.

With its mission of becoming “the nation’s favourite health food brand” on the horizon, Murray is setting her sights on the international market. Having already launched in Ireland, she plans to export to the Nordic countries, the Netherlands and the UAE.

With exciting new product developments on the cards for next year, it looks like 2017 could be the year the world goes nutty for Pip Murray’s Pip & Nut.

Murray was up against worthy and inspiring opponents in the Women in Business category, in the shape of highly commended Aurelia Probiotic Skincare founder Claire Vero, and the commended founder of video collaboration platform Seenit; Emily Forbes.
