Leeds-based Luxury Flooring is an intriguing proposition: an online-only flooring shop. The operation sells a range of affordable solid wood, engineered, laminate and vinyl flooring as well as carpets and accessories – after just three years of trading, the company is already exporting its goods UK-wide and across a number of European countries.
Cleverly avoiding the overheads of a large showroom, but recognising that it’s difficult to choose flooring without seeing it, Luxury Flooring offers free samples of all its products to customers. Keen to stand out in a well-established market, the firm promises to beat any like-for-like quote from competitors.
At just 24 and 22 respectively, founders Declan and Cameron Christie are bringing a fresh approach to the industry, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the digital world, while retaining the sense of quality and heritage expected from a flooring provider.
Luxury Flooring plans to maintain its high rate of growth through the introduction of different sales channels spending on paid marketing and also selling through retail outlets.
