Betting exchange Smarkets, founded by Young Gun Jason Trost, has announced plans to strengthen its team and add 75 employees to support its wider growth ambitions.

Launched in 2010, London-based Smarkets allows users to set their own prices and bet against each other on everything from entertainment to current affairs.

The firm is looking to hire 50 Python and Erlang engineers and 25 additional marketing and operations employees to increase growth in the UK and abroad and also plans to move to new headquarters in the capital.

The company has implemented a “self-management” structure which lets employees set their own salaries, take as much holiday as they need and make their own decisions about operational conduct.
