David Grimes (pictured right) and Paul Haydock (pictured left) graduated from Cambridge University in 2006, and this is already their second start-up. myParcelDelivery.com has partnered with courier companies such as UPS, TNT and DHL so users (be they businesses, eBay sellers or the general public) can book and pay for the shipping of parcels through its website at a cheaper rate than if they went direct to the brands themselves. The Manchester-based start-up is only one year old, but has grown revenues by 487% since January 2011 and has recently secured a six-figure funding injection from a private investor.

The co-founders are predicting a £5m turnover next year, and will increase staff levels from 16 to 25. In addition to growing their company’s brand and online presence, they intend to expand into European markets. “We have achieved a lot for such a young company, however, we are hungry for more. There’s still a lot we’re aspiring to, and the next year promises to see big things happening for myParcelDelivery.com,” say the entrepreneurs.
