Chief executive Ross joined online lingerie retailer Figleaves.com in 1999 after five years at McKinsey. The 94 person company formerly known as Easyshop raised £4m and is now realising its potential under his stewardship, making £7.2m last year, with 100% growth predicted for this year. It claims to offer more underwear brands than retail giants such as Selfridges and still expects success abroad.

2016 update:

Ross has had a colourful business history since leaving Figleaves in 2006, taking up a variety of non-executive board positions in companies including Glasses Direct and Shop Direct until 2013, as well as Spreadhsirt.net. Wex Photographic, Abcam and Sainsbury’s bank, where he remains. In 2007 he co-founded eCommera, which provides global retailers with strategic, technology and operational support, and DynamicAction – a cloud-based platform that integrates web analytics, marketing, merchandising, operations, customers, returns and finance for retailers. The service is used for Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Tesco, men’s Wearhouse and Clarins.
