Student Beans co-founder James Eder’s new app enables users to find and connect with nearby professionals, to work, to exercise or just to socialise

James Eder, the 2014 Young Gun behind The Beans Group, has announced the launch of a new location based app designed to foster professional relationships by taking advantage of chance encounters.

Causr, inspired by the Latin word for motive, enables users to see the profiles of others that may be able to help them or collaborate with them nearby – whether at work, while commuting or out and about. Users can update their status to show if they’re free or looking for something specific.

The app also features groups to help users connect with those with similar interests, whether they’re looking for a running partner, someone to watch a sports fixture with, or fellow university alumni.

Causr hopes to create “millions of meaningful connections for people nearby all around the world everyday”.

It is available to download for free on the App Store.
