Secret Escapes, the flash sales site for luxury travel co-founded by 2012 Young Gun Tom Valentine, has announced its expansion into four new European countries: France, Slovakia Hungary and the Czech Republic.

The company – which is now operational in 21 global territories – will run under the name Evasions Secrètes in France and Travelist in Eastern Europe.

Fuelled by $60m in Series C funding, the news follows Secret Escapes’ recent launch in four Asian Markets and expansion into the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Italy over the last 18 months.

Founded in 2011 by Valentine, Troy Collins and Alex Saint, the London-based Startups 100 company negotiates exclusive deals of up to 70% off luxury hotels and holidays for its members. Since launch, Secret Escapes claims to have achieved average year-on-year growth of 230%, hit 32 million members and secured more than $650m in cumulative global turnover.

In other recent news, Valentine has signed up to be a judge of the prestigious Startups Awards 2016.

Secret Escapes’ Saint said: “Our ultimate goal is to inspire the world to travel and to establish ourselves as the go-to destination for those looking to book an affordable holiday.”
