An athleisure start-up, gourmet sausage producer and skincare manufacturer are among Britain’s 100 fastest growing business, according to The Sunday Times’ latest Fast Track 100 index.

Four year-old business Gymshark – an online activewear retailer – is, according to the index, the fastest growing business in the country; having achieved 194% annual growth over the last year with £12.84m turnover.

Sausage company Heck! Food – commended at the Startups Awards 2016 – was ranked in fourth place for having achieved 170% sales growth since 2013, followed by Young Gun-founded vehicle finance company Carfinance247 in the fifth spot with 161% growth.

Other notable companies named include Startups Awards 2015 winner Tropic Skincare, and Young Gun-founded companies Pink Boutique, BrewDog, Hotcha and BULK POWDERS.

Backed by Virgin, the Fast Track 100 lists privately-owned companies that have achieved the highest sales growth over the last three years. Businesses that feature have turnover of between £5m to £250m, up to £10m in profits, 10 to 2,000 employees, and 50% to 200% three year sales growth.
