Domino’s Pizza franchise group has today released a report that shows record figures for the first six months of 2013.

The report highlights strong UK growth with like-for-like sales up by 6.4% and a 10.3% increase on profits before tax, taking the total to £25.7m for January to June 30.

The leading pizza franchise, which operates over 10,000 stores across 73 countries, including new sites in Germany and Switzerland, has witnessed rapid expansion of its UK franchise sites. Offering franchise packages for £280,000, the chain has opened 22 new outlets across the country, taking the total to 825.

The pizza firm also recorded a boost in its online systems sales of almost 30%, growing from £121.2m up to £156.7m.

Lance Batchelor, CEO of Domino’s Pizza Group, discussed the results:

“The core UK and Ireland businesses  have shown strong like-for-like sales growth against challenging comparatives.

“Our franchise system leads the leisure sector and, with the majority of our business coming via a web and mobile platform, we are now truly an online retailer.”
