Watch and jewellery repairs chain Dr. FIX has announced that it has been granted accreditation as a franchise brand from official franchise regulatory body the British Franchise Association (bfa).

Established in 2004, Dr. FIX is a retail kiosk and retail unit business which specialises in key cutting, watch and jewellery repairs, engraving and merchandising of watches and jewellery.

Alleging that its success to date is based on customer service, “impressive” margins and a “recession-resistant” business, the repairs brand intends to utilise the ‘trusted’ bfa membership to attract budding entrepreneurs to its national franchise network.

Its franchise packages include a “state of the art” kiosk or retail fit-out and equipment, start-up training for electronic point of sale (EPOS) technology, and marketing and operational support.

Previous experience in watch or jewellery repairs is not necessary as franchisees will receive full technical training at the brand’s in-house training academy.

Dr. FIX founder, Craig Hunt, said: “Having the BFA put Dr. FIX through its rigorous accreditation process has been a really valuable experience.

“I know that our membership sends the right signal to potential franchisees that we take what we do very seriously and our procedures stand up to the closest scrutiny’.

“We want franchise owners to be as successful as they can be so we have invested heavily in branding, training, technology and infrastructure to offer the highest levels of franchise start up training and on-going business support possible.”
