75. Virtual Farmer’s Market
The Virtual Farmer's Market acts as a hub where consumers and independent food manufacturers can trade online
Founders: Marcus Carter and Roger Saunt
Farmers’ markets have become increasingly popular attractions over the past few years so it’s little wonder Marcus and Roger’s online version has been so well received. Marcus first came up with the idea while on his stall at the Kings Road Farmers Market in London.
The online market allows users to ‘meet’ the producers via video streams detailing how the produce is made or grown, and allows customers to buy from multiple vendors with just one delivery fee.
