After 18 months of pandemic home working, it’s no secret that employee health and wellbeing should be a top priority for every company.

But Harry Bliss, who was recently awarded a Young Leader award at the 2021 Northern Leadership awards, realised this even before COVID-19. He founded Champion Health back in 2018 as a way to unite all areas of wellbeing under one platform. For users, this means no more separate apps and subscriptions for workouts, nutrition plans, mindfulness exercises, and the like.

And in the three years since Champion Health has been available, Bliss and his team have been informed that their platform has saved at least four lives.

After losing a close friend and business partner to mental health struggles at the start of Champion Health’s journey, Bliss became more dedicated than ever to the platform’s mission of changing lives through access to critical wellbeing support. As he puts it, Champion Health’s mission will always come first.

Once a company chooses Champion Health, every employee will be able to complete a digital health assessment. These assessments are then used to generate a unique health report for each person, and to provide action plans and personalised recommendations.

Employers in both the public and private sectors have been reaping the benefits of Champion Health since it launched in 2018 – and this year, the wellbeing wonder has even partnered with England Athletics, rolling out its service to 100+ employees in September.
