Start Up Loans Company celebrated as headline sponsor of Startups Awards 2017

Startups.co.uk is proud to announce the Start Up Loans Company as headline sponsor of the Startups Awards 2017, the UK’s longest running awards of its kind for the country’s best and brightest new businesses.

A government-backed scheme, the Start Up Loans Company enables small businesses to borrow up to £25,000 via a low-interest loan and provides successful loan applicants with free mentoring from experienced advisors.

Now in its 14th year, the Startups Awards recognises the UK’s most exceptional, innovative, and ambitious new businesses launched in the last four years and is industry-renowned for identifying start-ups that will go on to achieve great success.

Previous Startups Awards winners include Joe & Seph’s Popcorn, Swoon Editions, MarketInvoice, Purplebricks, and last year’s overall winner Onfido.

To be eligible for the Startups Awards 2017, businesses must have excellent potential, be based in the UK, privately-owned, and launched on or after August 1 2013 – and no later than July 31 2016.

There are 14 awards categories to enter this year including well established awards such as Innovative Business of the Year, Retail Business of the Year, Crowdfunded Business of the Year and the Woman in Business Award.

This year, we have introduced a new awards category in partnership with the Start Up Loans Company: The Start Up Loans Inspiring Entrepreneur of the Year.

This award is open to inspirational entrepreneurs who have received a Start Up Loan and want to share their story. We will pick a shortlist and invite the public to vote for their favourite inspirational story.

As lead sponsor of this year’s Startups Awards, the Start Up Loans Company will also be presenting the overall winner with the accolade of The Start Up Loans Start-Up of the Year.
