With no external funding, Agrawal and co-founder Paresh Davdra have created a business that has grown at a stratospheric rate since launch in 2005. The foreign exchange company RationalFX has seen the transfer of around $2.7bn worldwide, has over 25,000 private and business clients, and while margins in the space are small, turnover stands at a highly impressive £473m.
In 2012, Agrawal also launched an online money transfer operation named Xendpay.com, owned by RationalFX. No surprise, perhaps, that Agrawal scooped the Young Entrepreneur Award at the 36th Asian Who’s Who Awards in 2011.
