Attracting around 18 million annual visitors, My Destination is a network of travel sites providing advice and information that is curated exclusively by local experts. The co-founders, who met at university, initially launched a site for a holiday resort in Spain, but quickly realised the potential and expanded the business using a franchise model.
Now, their site spans over 58 countries and covers more than 120 destinations worldwide, with each territory being run by a team on the ground. Franchisees pay a fee to buy their territory and receive a split of royalties. The business has seen 255% growth year-on-year and has around 250 people working within the group.
