Anna Soubry has been appointed as the minister for small business, a new role created as part of the Prime Minister’s cabinet reshuffle today.

The Broxtowe Conservative MP and former journalist has previously served as the minister of state for defence personnel, welfare and veterans and parliament under-secretary of state for public health.

Earlier today, it was announced that former equalities minister Sajid Javid had been appointed as the secretary of state for business, innovation and skills.
